CONFERENCE OPENING

Keynote speech and networking reception

In recent years the word ‘narrative’ has become increasingly popular outside of fiction. Every nation has a narrative, every business has a story, every individual has an origin myth. Every advert, every videogame, everything has a story… But what really is a story? How is it formed? And what makes a national narrative? Story expert John Yorke explores how we can use narrative to speak to new audiences, change perceptions, and start conversations on an international stage.
